Glimmerglass Film Days, a program of Otsego 2000, explores humanity's complex relationship with the natural world. Film Days events are held in landmark Cooperstown venues, including the Otesaga Hotel and the Fenimore Art Museum. For 2017, the festival's fifth consecutive year, the selected films from the US and abroad explore the concept of home — and all that "home" evokes, inspires, and redeems.
Film Days is curated by Margaret Parsons, founder and director of film programming at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C.
Friday Forums offer in-depth discussions with experts, and many screenings are enriched by filmmaker Q&A's. The long weekend also features a companion art exhibit, receptions with local food and drink, restaurant specials (Coop Eats), guided walks, and the opportunity to enjoy Cooperstown's Main Street and the natural beauty of the region.
