Film Days by the Numbers

The seventh annual Glimmerglass Film Days offers a record number of films that explore the theme ADAPTATIONS.

  • 37 films (22 feature-length and 15 shorts)

  •  27 screenings

  • 13 filmmakers and special guests attending

  • 15 countries (USA, Japan, Canada, Afghanistan, United Kingdom, Lebanon, Cambodia, Mexico, Netherlands, Italy, Sudan, Ireland, France, India, Macedonia)

  • 6 venues: the Grandstand Theater at the National Baseball Hall of Fame, the Otesaga Hotel, the Fenimore Art Museum, Templeton Hall, The Farmers’ Museum, and the Village Hall.  

  • 2 parties at The Smithy gallery

  • 2 free films: Fantastic Mr. Fox for kids and families, featuring a Q&A with producer Molly Cooper, and for adults, Life Overtakes Me, featuring a Q&A with filmmakers John Haptas and Kristine Samuelson

  • 2 hikes led by local nonprofits

  • 1 Taste of Greece Dinner Buffet

  • 1 farm-to-table brunch and film discussion

  • 1 companion art exhibit featuring the work of Christina Hunt Wood   

  • 1 pop-up book store, with books that complement the films

  • plus restaurant specials, like a prix fixe 3-course meal inspired by The Last of the Mohicans at the Otesaga.
