Rob Katz has been selected as the winner of the Film Days Poster Image Contest. Katz’s photo of a tree and its roots growing along and over stone steps best represented the 2019 Film Days theme “Adaptations.”
The seventh annual film festival will be held November 7-11 in multiple Cooperstown locations. The films, selected by the Film Days Steering Committee led by Peggy Parsons, will show how nature, society, and individuals react and adapt in the face of change. Katz said his photo shows “how nature finds its own solution to the obstacles that it faces.” In addition to a compelling slate of independent films, Glimmerglass Film Days features filmmaker talks, presentations, art exhibitions, parties, and guided walks.
“We are so pleased to showcase the talents of photographers through our annual Glimmerglass Film Days Poster Image contest. We are grateful to everyone who entered," says Ellen Pope, executive director of Otsego 2000. Glimmerglass Film Days is a program of Otsego 2000.
Katz, of Cooperstown, will receive a cash prize of $250 and have his photo featured in the Film Days poster, website, and other publicity materials.
